WE’RE BRINGING IT BACK AGAIN! Due to the amazing response to our last two events in June and September, we are once again showing the Sound of Music on the big screen at the Kroc Center. Don’t miss this opportunity to dress up like the characters in the movie, and interact to the film with everyone else in the audience.
Having started in the UK back in 1999, the Sound of Music Sing-a-Long show has now become a worldwide hit, playing to packed houses across the globe with over 10,000 performances in 11 different countries! It’s even filled the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles – 7 times!
Let’s start at the very beginning (a very good place to start)…
For those of you not yet converted, Sound of Music Sing-a-Long is a screening of the classic Julie Andrews film musical in glorious, full-screen technicolor, complete with subtitles so that the whole audience can sing along!
The fun-filled show starts with a vocal warm-up led by the evening’s host, who also takes the audience through their complimentary ‘magic moments fun pack’, containing various props to be used at strategic points throughout the film.
Get ready to yodel in North Idaho! This is your chance to belt out all of your favorites lyrics to Climb Every Mountain, Do-Re-Mi, Sixteen Going On Seventeen, Maria, Edelweiss and all of the beloved songs that you typically only sing in the shower. Feel free to dress up as your favorite character or come as you are. Costume ideas include nuns, girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes, A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Kroc Center scholarship fund.
“What a fun way to see a great classic film on the big screen, as well as being able to sing, cheer, and laugh out loud in the theater!” – Kris S.
