    About Us

As a member-owned not-for-profit credit union with a history that spans over 75 years, BECU proudly commits itself to serving our members and our communities. We manage over $20 billion in assets.

We return profits to our members in the forms of lower fees and competitive rates. Our free checking accounts carry no maintenance fees and no minimum balances.

Here are some additional ways BECU practices its value of putting members first:

    We reward good credit

Every year, we review loan accounts for signs of healthy financial management: an improved credit score and timely payments. Then we reward members who have significantly improved their financial habits in the past year.

We offer free, top-tier financial education

BECU believes that financial knowledge is a key to financial success— and that knowledge should be free. We offer: consultations with trained specialists who help members build savings, budget and manage debt; virtual and in-person seminars and webinars on topics ranging from home-buying to investment strategies and retirement strategies; and an annual member summit— all at no cost to our members.

    We give to our communities

BECU believes that all individuals deserve the opportunity and resources to take charge of their financial health. We are dedicated to increasing financial access, improving financial education, helping people increase their earning power and strengthening the financial health of our communities.
